If you’re used to implementing software the old-school way, you’re in for a surprise with SpringCM!

Some of the basics—discover, configure, deliver—sound the same. But the difference in how SpringCM Services does it compared to old-school ECM consultants is like night and day. Not to mention the speed at which we deliver results.

We’re built for the cloud, and we take advantage of it. That means that during the discovery process—which generates a list of all your requirements—we identify a few of your highest priorities, quickly flip the switch on the SpringCM features you need, test them in a work environment, get feedback, tweak, get feedback again, and go live. We then go back to your requirements, select a few more, repeat the process, and work our way through all of your requirements until SpringCM fits your needs exactly. Quick, iterative, painless.

SpringBoard: our methodology

SpringBoard, our consulting services methodology, combines best practices learned over thousands of content projects implemented for some of the biggest brands. There are three phases to our methodology: Discover, Configure, and Deliver.

In the Discover phase, we help prepare your organization for the configuration and rollout of SpringCM. While SpringCM is easy to set up, mirroring internal workflows and business processes may involve thinking through existing processes and imagining new ways to do things. That's where we excel. We'll work with you to gain stakeholder buy-in, understand the implementation plan and objectives, and learn about and define your business processes. To make it easy on you, SpringCM provides best practice templates to ensure that we collect all of the essential information.

During the Configure phase, we review the approved design documents with you. During this phase we also create documentation detailing configuration settings, data migration, and other processes. We clarify areas and help you mitigate any risks. We deliver a thorough project and test plan along with:

  • SpringCM application configuration
  • Data migration processes
  • Data and application integration touch points
  • Customization plan

The Deliver phase consists of five steps to ensure completion of the project, deliver excellent support, and implement best practices. During this phase we follow these guiding principles:

  • Documentation
  • Knowledge transfer
  • Training and education
  • Production rollout
  • Support handoff

Communication and planning

Because content matters to a lot of people in your organization, change management and communication matters to the success of the project. Your SpringBoard team stays in close contact with you and your project manager to create a communication plan and facilitate execution of that plan throughout the entire project. The communication plan:

  • Defines the audiences requiring communication, such as stakeholders and sponsors
  • Defines the communications to be executed throughout the course of the project
  • Defines the communication schedule

Project management

SpringBoard project managers will facilitate the day-to-day activities and ensure the project's success.  The project team, under the direction of a project manager, takes responsibility for:

  • Managing the project timeline
  • Risk and issue management
  • Execution of the communication plan
  • Training logistics

Change management

Change management means smooth transitions.  Considering the dynamics and fluidity of your business and processes, SpringBoard also helps control project scope and requirements.

Following the approval of the requirements and the design documents, change control keeps track of any variation from the statement of work and helps everyone stay in agreement on the final deliverables list. Change happens, we know it does. So we'll review the change request with you and let you know how it might impact the project. You always have the final decision.
