Scheduling and Communication Steps

Email

This step lets you send a preconfigured email message to assignees.

  • Step Name: Text field (required); set a name for the step. Must be unique.
  • Step Description: Step description is displayed below the step in the workflow designer and in the process monitor. It is used to describe a step in a meaningful way to be helpful in workflow administration and troubleshooting.
  • From: Enter value to be displayed as 'From' email address.
  • To Address: Enter recipient email address(es) (i.e., email addresses, or variables containing email address(es).
  • To: Select users to receive emails (i.e., users, groups, or variable containing users).
  • BCC: Enter BCC recipient email address(es) (i.e., email addresses, users, groups or variables containing email address(es).
  • CC: Enter CC recipient email address(es) (i.e., email addresses, users, groups or variables containing email address(es).
  • Subject: Enter email subject text or build expression.
  • Body: Enter email body text or build expression.

Group

This step is a visual element designed to help organize the workflow.

  • Group Name: Text Field; allows you to specify the name of the grouping box. The name displays above the group box.
  • Group Color: Color chooser; allows you to select from predesigned colors or choose a custom color by hex value.

Timer Trigger

Triggers a user-defined output based on the Time-Out time defined in the step.

  • Step Name: Text field (required); set a name for the step. Must be unique.
  • Step Description: Text field; Step description is displayed below the step in the workflow designer and in the process monitor. It is used to describe a step in a meaningful way to be helpful in workflow administration and troubleshooting.
  • Timeout: The time duration after which the step which trigger a custom defined output for the next step in the workflow. The Timeout can be defined in Days, Hours and Minutes format separately.
  • Output: Text field; Custom Defined Output based on the business requirement and design.

Wait for Signal

Waiting step that holds the path of the workflow until a signal is received via API.

  • Stage Name: Text Field; Enter Stage name to assign this document to, this is only used by SpringCM TrackIt.
  • Timeout: Number(s); Specify a time interval (Days:Hours:Minutes:Seconds) to wait before timeout output path. Can also be written as an expression.
  • Output Signal Data variable: Radio Button, Text Field/Lookup; Outputs the signal data into a user defined variable.
